The South Park and Game/Squaw Creek areas in South Jackson have the majority of horse properties in the Jackson Hole area. You'll also find some horse properties in North Jackson. And the least expensive horse properties in Teton County are in Hoback Junction and the Moran/Buffalo Valley area. 
 
For the most acreage for your money, check out Star Valley (Lincoln County) Wyoming if you don't mind living about an hour from Jackson Hole. Star Valley is a beautiful valley surrounded by mountains and national forest;  more rural area with lots of horses and livestock.

If you're looking for horse property in Teton County, it's important to be aware of and understand property restrictions imposed by either by the subdivision or the county. Many Jackson Hole subdivisions restrict or limit the number of horses allowed on the property. It's a good idea to read the subdivision CC&Rs to know and understand  such things as how many horses are allowed, if a barn can be built, if the entire lot can be fenced,  the type and height of fencing allowed, etc. You might also want to know if there is nearby access to public lands and national forest for riding
